Our Story

Learn about our mission, vision, and founding journey

Our Mission

To glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ through faithful worship, biblical teaching, loving fellowship, and active evangelism, thereby winning souls, transforming lives, and impacting communities in accordance with the Great Commission.

Our Vision

To be a Spirit-filled, Christ-centered community passionately committed to winning souls, nurturing believers, and impacting the world through transformative ministry, compassionate service, and faithful obedience to the Great Commission.

Founding Journey

Gods Sanhedrin Christian Assembly was founded with a vision to establish a church that would reach the people of Malawi with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What began as a small gathering has grown into a vibrant congregation that serves the Zomba community and beyond.

Our church was established by faithful servants who felt called by God to plant a church that would be deeply rooted in biblical truth while being relevant to the needs of our community. From the beginning, our focus has been on creating a welcoming environment where people can encounter God, grow in their faith, and be equipped to serve others.

GSCA operates through a comprehensive governance framework with local church boards led by Branch Pastors, District Councils led by District Superintendents, Regional Councils led by Regional Bishops, and a National Council led by the National Overseer. We are committed to holistic ministry that addresses both spiritual and physical needs through our GSCA Compassion & Development Ministries.

Over the years, we have seen God's faithfulness as our congregation has grown and our ministries have expanded. We have been privileged to see lives transformed, families restored, and communities impacted through the power of the Gospel.

Core Beliefs

  • The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and is the sole rule of faith and practice
  • There is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, is fully God and fully man, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father as High Priest and Advocate
  • Humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin, resulting in spiritual death; salvation and regeneration are possible only through the work of the Holy Spirit
  • Eternal salvation is a free gift of God, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ, apart from human works
  • Church membership is limited to those who have personally accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and have been baptized by immersion
  • Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church but are not means of salvation
  • Jesus Christ will return personally, bodily, imminently, and gloriously; this belief motivates believers to live zealously for Him
  • The dead will be bodily resurrected; the saved will enjoy eternal life in heaven, and the unsaved will suffer eternal separation from God
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a present reality for believers
  • We affirm the operation of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12
  • We affirm the Fruit of the Spirit as described in Galatians 5:22
  • The Church is autonomous and self-governing, managing its own affairs independently of any external ecclesiastical authority
